Scribble Night is a drawing and guessing game you can play as a Discord Activity or in a web browser at scribble-night.scribble-night.workers.dev. This page explains what the game handles about you and why. Questions or requests: nerfedmeta@gmail.com.

What the game uses

If you play in Discord: when you click Authorize, Discord gives the game an access token with the identify permission. The game uses it to ask Discord for your user ID, username or display name, and avatar. These are used only to show your name and picture to the other players in your game and to give you your seat back if you reconnect. The game does not ask for your email, friends list, servers or messages.
If you play in a browser: the name and pal you pick. Your browser keeps your name and pal on your device (local storage) and a reconnect code for the current tab (session storage).
What you send while playing: drawings, chat messages, guesses, reactions and votes are sent to the other players in your room.

How long it is kept

Rooms, drawings, chat, scores, names and access tokens exist only in the game server's memory while the room is open. Nothing is written to a database. When a room ends, or the server restarts, it is gone. A verified Discord identity is remembered in memory for up to 10 minutes so reconnecting is quick.
The game runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the game, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. The game's request logs (time, the address requested and the result) are kept for 3 days to fix problems. Avatar addresses in those logs include your Discord user ID.

Who sees it

Other players in your room see your name, avatar, drawings and chat.
Discord, the platform you play on, under the Discord Privacy Policy, and Cloudflare, the host.
Nothing is sold. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.

Age

You must meet Discord's minimum age to use Discord (13 in most countries). The browser version is meant for the same ages.

Your choices

You can remove Scribble Night's access at any time in Discord under User Settings → Authorized Apps. Because nothing is kept after a room ends, there is normally nothing stored to delete. Email nerfedmeta@gmail.com with any question or request.
